Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 52

Funny thing, David...I spotted the problem on the train home. Although, the fatal error clearly indicated the type, it had nothing to do with the type directly (as I thought because I'm on the sixth copy of this system and the others didn't have this issue...also I extensively tested one system on one zone before I started expansion). I've had these "false" msgs before. I was feeding the type a negative flowrate for my air, I believe.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Jean,
Do you have a relatively simple project that exhibits the problem? It would be helpful in debugging the Type.
Best,
David

When no air (or very little) passes through the coil (type 52b), the outlet air temp becomes that of the coil water. I have a problem that the type is internally calling a routine for the wet- bulb calculation which is outside of range (Temp more than 70 degC). This error is TERMINATING my simulation although I only get it once. I also get a saturation warning everytime condensation occurs on the coil when I use it as a cooling coil. I have been advised to recompile this type with some adjustments, but I have no resources to do so. Please advise.

TRNSYS Message 114 : The utility routine PSYCHROMETRICS, which calculates the thermodynamic properties of moist air, has been called with a wet bulb temperature above the maximum wet bulb temperature for the given pressure. Please check the routine which calls the PSYCHROMETRICS routine for possible sources of errors. Reported information : Error 114
