Welcome to the TRNSYS Users Forum.

The forum is a place where people can interact and have discussions about different topics involving the use of the TRNSYS software package. Here you can post topics for discussion or questions on using TRNSYS and get advice from other users or TRNSYS experts. This forum is not intended for detailed technical support. Users should contact their distributor’s hotline for such assistance.

Some tips for success on using the forum:

  • Follow the Forum Rules posted in Forum Administration.
  • There are categories for different types of topics and questions. Post your topic or question into the proper category.
  • Before posting a topic or question search the existing topics  (and the TRNSYS Users listserv archive) to see if a similar topic or question has already been answered.
  • Use a descriptive topic name. Don’t use attention getting subjects, they don’t get attention and only annoy people.
  • State the version of TRNSYS and which add-ons your are using.
  • Include enough specific details for your topic of question to be answered. Just posting “Why am I getting an error?” without describing the specific error and what you are trying to do when you get the error will not receive a response that fixes your issue.
  • Remember when people help you, they are doing you a favor. Be patient, help people out by posting good descriptions of what you need help with, and be polite even if a response does not solve your issue.
  • Moderators may edit your post for clarity or move your topic to a more appropriate category.

Type47b battery and Type48c as inverter and controller of the battery SoC, the simulation gives me results of the dumped power that the inverter takes from the battery when the battery is full, but type65d gives me no output of the discharged power .
The simulation doesn't give me error when Type47b has no more than 2000 cells in series and in parallel, when I want to increase the number of cells , trnsys gives me the following error:
The Trnsys executable (TRNE.exe) and main DLL are located in C:\Program File(x86)\Trnsys16_1\Exe.
Then , the following types were loaded from TRNDll.dll type 47,type24,type9,type48,type65.
Trnsys verion is trnsys16.

The messages that begin "The Trnsys executable (TRNExe.exe) ..." and "The following Types were loaded from TRNDll.dll ..." are not error messages. They are just notices that give information to the user. The first notice tells the user which version of TRNSYS is being called, which may be useful if a user has multiple versions on their machine. The second notice tells the user which Type(s) were loaded from which .dll, which may be useful if a model located in multiple .dlls has been updated or revised. Both messages will appear in some form in all simulations, and neither message is a problem.

The simulation error may have occurred because of a hard-coded limit to the number of cells in the source code. With Trnsys18, users can email their distributor for technical support, and request a revised .dll with increased limits to suit their simulation. Unfortunately Trnsys16 is several years out of date, and technical support is no longer available for Trnsys16.

@a_weiss so there is no way I could create a battery that has 2 Mwh and a 1Mw of discharge power .
Type 47b suggests not to modify the max charge and discharge current that is about 3 ampere, I wanted to create my battery by modifying the number of cells in series to 125000 .
So if there is no way to use type47b , is it possible to create a battery that I need by using the new equations?
If there is no way to create a model of battery that has such parameters, I am going to use an electrolyzer as a storage system.
Thx for the support

@a_weiss I have the problem of the discharge power, it seems the battery is able to load but it's not able to give an output
