Re: [TRNSYS-users] IDF import problem

Mohamed,

If you have not already done so, could you open your *.idf in SketchUp and resave it, then try the import again into TRNBuild. If that does not work, you may be able to open the *.b17 that was created from the former *.idf using TRNBuild from v18 then export the *.idf from TRNBuild back to SketchUp, resave, then import once more into TRNBuild.

kind regards,

 David

Hello,
I recently updated Trnsys v18, and when i tried to import a idf file that i made using trnsys3d, it doesn't import and a file (*.txt) is created when i checked it in Calculation of geometry information start it says :
- Check base surface 6. Outside Boundary condition of base surface must be ''External'' or ''Zone''!

1- How do i know which is surface 6 in trnsys 3d ?
2- I thought it's the base surface and i changed it to "outdoors" still same problem

Thank you.
