Thanks.
That explains a lot, but from which parameter does it gain the number of cells?
I've downloaded couple of Photovoltaic panels catalogues, how can I extract the number of cells from them and where should I write them in trnsys?
Thank you very much for your time.

Subject: Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 94a- Module AreaDear Amir, actually Trnsys does not use the module area to evaluate the electrical and thermal performance of a PV module. It solves the electrical I-V characteristic cueve step by step for a module consisting of n cells known the electrical data of a PV cell (short circuit, open circuit and so on). This because if it knows the electrical performance of a cell (Vmp and Imp) in reference conditions, the number of cells define the performance of the entire module.Regards

_______________________________________________Hi
I'm relatively new to trnsys and I'm trying to run a simulation with Type 94a but while doing that i faced something strange.
Its odd that if I change the "Module Area" nothing changes in final graph! even if I set it to zero.
Why is so? Whats the role and meaning of Module Area then?
