Omais,
Type5 (or Type91 if it was available in v16) would be appropriate. Heat exchangers are not categorized by their geometry in Trnsys except as concerns the direction of the two liquid streams (cross flow, parallel flow, etc.). Instead the user is asked to specify either a UA or an effectiveness for the heat exchanger. This makes the models appropriate for flat plates or other configurations.
kind regards,
David

Hi!
I am using TRNSYS 16. Can someone please tell me which heat exchanger type can be used for flat plate heat exchanger? I am in the middle of my thesis and an early response would help a lot.
Thanks
