[TRNSYS-users] R: I: different results with data reader

Thanks so much David. I will keep “play” with this Type. Is my first work on Trnsys and so i have a lot of problem (unforunately).

Chiara

Chiara,

It is not really possible to diagnose the problem without playing around with the project. It can sometimes be hard to set the Type9 parameters correctly. I would start off by setting the time step of the simulation to the data interval that you have specified as one of Type9's parameters. This will remove the impact of the interpolate/don't interpolate switch. My best advice (unfortunately) is to keep messing around with the Type9 parameters until you get the outputs that you're expecting.

kind regards,

 David

Hi everyone,

i have some problems with type 9e. I want to make a comparison between two thermal powers, calculated using the same starting data (istantaneous values) but in different ways. One of the Thermal powers has been determineted on Excel and then imported on trnsys (type 9e) and collegates with online plotter. For the other one, i have inserted a new equation on trnsys where both the inputs that the formula are the same as the previous case. Essentially the only differencech is the program that i use to calculate each of them.

But, when i run the simulation, i see that there are different values. How is this possible? Does anyone know what could be the problem? I use mode 2 for data Readers and i chose to interpolate the data.  Could be this the problem?

Thanks a lot for the attention.

Regards,

Chiara
