Re: [TRNSYS-users] Interpolating weather data component

Dear David,

Thanks for your reply. I don't have any heating and cooling system. Thats why I am surprised. The range of temperature variation is 12 C degrees. I am still trying to diagnose the problem.

Best Regards,

Arian,

There could be many reasons for this. For example, if you have heating and cooling enabled in your building so that the zone temperature is forced to always be between 20C and 21C then regardless of the timestep and whether or not you interpolate the weather file the building temperature is always going to be between 20 and 21C.

 David

Dear Jeff

I am using TRNSYS 16. I only used Type 109-TMY2 and when I changed the time step to less than 1 hour, like min or s , the output result which is the indoor temperature of the building type 56 is the same as 1 hour even to the last digit.

Best Regards,

Arian

The TRNSYS weather components all have interpolation schemes built into the models for seamless simulations at time steps less than an hour.

Dear all,

I want to know whether TRNSYS has a default interpolating weather data component like EnergyPlus since most of the solar data is hourly and as I see, TRNSY can simulate in smaller time step such as min and s. So, Is there way to accomplished such a thing.

Best Regards,

Arian.
