Mohammad,
My apologies for the delay in getting back to you. You can use
instances of Type11 to mix two flows into a single flow before
passing it to the heat pump. You can then use another instance of
Type11 to split the flow from the heat pump back to the two tanks.
kind regards,
David

Mr. David Bradley;
thank
you very much but how also can i make the heat
pump(water -water heat pump) to take 2 sources of water from 2
separated storage tanks? and what type of heat pump does
support that?
best
regards.
Mohammad,
The simplest way would be to define two equations
one of which has a value of 1 during the time period
when you want to allow cooling and the other of
which has a value of 1 during the heating time
period. For example:
isSummer = AND(GT(TIME,3000),LT(TIME,5000))
isWinter = 1-isSummer
You then connect the result of these equations to
the appropriate heat pump inputs. The above
equations would allow cooling between hour 3000 and
5000 of the simulation and would allow heating at
all other times. You have to be a bit more careful
with your equation if you want to run multiyear
simulations.
kind regards,
David

Hi Jakob,
Thank you for your
prompt response.
Unfortunately, both the
restaurant and
the sunspace examples
use Type 15-6 and Type 15-2
(TMY-2). My problem is that
when I replace to Type 15-1
(TMY), my heating demand is
increased, but remains within
the BESTEST range, while
my cooling demand is
significantly below the
BESTEST results. That's how I
concluded that most probably I
am doing something wrong in
the connection of the weather
file and the solar radiation
available in the building's
surfaces.
Thank you for your
help anyway.
Kind Regards,

Dear Eirini,
you can find an example in your
TRNSYS directory
under
…\Examples\Restaurant\Restaurant.tpf
It also uses types 15 and 56…
Best regards

Question on Type
15-1 (TMY
Weather file)
Hello
TRNSYS Users,
I am
trying to simulate
a simple building
(BESTEST Case
600) and I am
getting quite odd
results. I believe
that my mistake is
in the connection
between Type 15-1
(TMY Weather file)
and Type 56
(Multi-zone
building). I would
like to ask
whether there is
any tutorial
online or any
example in the
program's
documentation
folder on how to
connect weather
files to Type 56
for multi-zone
building
simulation.
Thank
you.
