[TRNSYS-users] error gentrn.dll

Dear TRNSYS-Users,
I got a building model that was created with the trnsys17-00-0019 release. I simulate this building with 17-01-0025 release. I have the following error message:

"Wrong version of gentrn.dll was used. TYPE 56 expects version 189.000, but TRNBuild used gentrn.dll version 162.000was loaded."
Does someone know how to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance for your answer!
Sihem

Hi,
Thanks for answers. Just to understand the process, I tested with a simple example:

    * 1 zone in the Type 56, I changed   the input type for occupant internal gains  to "Input "
    * in type 155:
o  I read a fictive daily schedule which represents the number of present per hour (attached file: profil.txt), then I did a loop: for i=1:24 { trnoutputs(i)=y(i) } (I put "calling mode = 10")
    * In simulation studio I connect the output from Type 155 to the input for Type 56.
* I print the type 155 outputs (attached file: Type25a.txt).The file contains 24 values equal to 1 (the first is 0). These values does not match to the given schedule.
Could you help me to understand this result?
Thanks,
Sihem
PS: As a reminder, I use stochastic models, in matlab to calculate the annual states of occupants/hour. I need to use this output as an input in trnsys for occupancy gains calculation.

Dear Sihem,

I have had the exact same scenario in the past (stochastic occupancy from Type 155 for simulation in Type 56).

Step 1: In TRNBUILD, for each building zone (or for all zones), you change the input type for occupant internal gains from "Constant" or "Schedule" to "Input". This assigns a new input variable to the Type 56 component in TRNSYS.
Step 2: In Simulation Studio, connect the corresponding output from Type 155 to the new input you created for Type 56.
Step 3: Repeat for all other required zones.

As I wrote this, I just saw David Bradley's response, which is helpful.
Regards,
Adam

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Type 155-yearly schedules

Hi,
I'm modelling a building using type 56 and the occupancy schedule with matlab (stochastic model for occupancy). The occupancy vary through the year for each zone and each occupant.
I get the number of occupants per zone from TRNSYS to calculate the probabilities of presence in Type 155. The yearly  occupancy schedule (8760 values)  is an output of Type 155. Is there any way for including this schedule in Trsnys as an input?
Thanks for any advice you can give.
Best regards
Sihem
