Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problem with type 14b forcing function

Type 14 is exactly the Type that you want for your simulation. Two separate users replied to your earlier request (I believe it was you and apologize if it wasn't) on how to use Type 14 - did you follow their suggestions? I would also suggest that you review the SDHW example provided with TRNSYS. Remember, Type 14 needs to have every point specified to make up your forcing function. For example, if you had a daily function where you are drawing 100 kg/h from 7am to 9am and 200 kg/h 7 pm to 9 pm each day, the parameters would be:

0,0
7,0
7,100
9,100
9,0
19,0
19,200
21,200
21,0
24,0

Am modeling a solar domestic water heating system using TRNSYS 16. I
want to control when the water in the storage tank is being drawn at a certain flowrate. I connect the output of the type 14b to the coldside
flowrate of the tank. I also specify the time of draw and rate for
different points but when i check the graph on the plotter and printed
the result in excel, the results am having is far different from what
was expected. I wanted to control when the water is being drawn but it
seems the type 14b is not obeying this command. I will like to know
which other component can perform this task and how?
Thank you
