Re: [TRNSYS-users] Trnedit and parametric runs, trnsys output modification

David,

Thank you very much for your quick answer.

It works great.

King regards.

Carlos,
 You can do this but in a slightly more indirect way. Say that you have a 3 node tank and that the temperature of the 3 nodes are given by outputs 21, 22, and 23 of UNIT 35. You will need to write an equation such as:

EQUATIONS 1
tempToWatch = isRun1*[35,21] + isRun2*[35,22] + isRun3*[35,23]

isRun1, isRun2 and isRun3 are all new variables that will be defined both in the input file and in the parametric table. You can write:

CONSTANTS 3
isRun1 = 1
isRun2 = 0
isRun3 = 0

for each run that you make, all three of the constants must be set and only one of them should be set to a value of 1; all others should be zero.

Lastly, you will need to go through the deck and replace the text [35,21] with the variable tempToWatch.
Kind regards,
David

hi,

I'm trying to simulate a DHW system, and I would like to make a parametric run using TRNedit.
In this parametric study, I would like to change the node of my storage tank which is use to regulate my DHW system.

In TRNedit, the TRNSYS outputs are referenced like this: [Unit#, Output#]

Is it possible to replace the Unit# or the Output# by a constant or an equation?

Example:

TANK:
UNIT 35 TYPE 534

[35,21] is the temperature of the 1st node of my tank

I want to replace [35,21] by [35,x], x will vary every new simulation following my parametric table.

I do not undertand very well the properties of the object:  [Unit#, Output#]

If it's not possible is there another solution to this problem?

Thank you in advance for your answer
