Re: [TRNSYS-users] New Type is not recognized in TRNSYS 17

Klaus,
We run Trnsys on Windows 8 without any problems. There should be a Notice in the *.log file that says where the TRNDll is being found. There are times when I have run a project and found that it was looking for TRNSYS (and thus for external DLLs) in some other location. Another possible issue is that if your component calls other DLLs or relies on other libraries that are not available to it on the computer, TRNSYS will still return the "can't find Type" error message.
Kind regards,
 David

Hello,

I got a problem with my TRNSYS 17.01.0025 version using a new type.

I imported Type399.dll in the \UserLib\ReleaseDLLs and \UserLib\DebugDLLs folders, but TRNSYS seems to not be able to correctly address them.

It works on a different PC with Windows 7. I am working with Windows 8. Could this be the reason for this problem? Any other ideas?

Best regards, Klaus
