Hi,
this error also occuried after deleted a thermal zone in skecthup, with an idf file updated from a trnbuild exportation.
When you re import the modified idf file, Trnbuild show empty thermal zone and gives that error.
b17 file is created. You have to delete empty thermal zone directly in TRNBUILD.
What you can do :

- File / Update Trnsys 3D file
- select your idf file and your hemisphere
- import your idf file
- delete empty zones
I import
your idf file with trnbuild and see lots
of empty zones. You have to
delete them.

Hi Jorn,
I've seen this error when there's a line left, for example if you deleted a surface but didn't delete all the borders (the ones on top of other borders are tough!). Maybe that's it.

The error is the following:
"At least 2 surfaces are required per zone!"
What 's weird about this error, is that I can not find a zone consisting of less than 2 surfaces + I can't find "surface -1" in my model.
I searched but have not been able to solve this error yet.
Is anyone familiar with this error? Where lies the problem?
