Jean-François, It sounds as though you are getting a partial *.shm file? When you generate a shading matrix, a file with the same name as your *.b17 but with _shd.log appended at the end is created. You might look in that file to see if it reported an error or a warning. I don't think that it is the same but about a month ago I ran into a problem creating a *.shm file and discovered the problem was that I had a "." in my path name. I had c:\Trnsys17.1\MyProjects\Project1\Project1.b17 and it worked as soon as I changed the directory structure to: c:\Trnsys17_1\MyProjects\Project1\Project1.b17 be aware that you might have better luck if you use a simple path and file name for your *.b17 Best, David On 3/12/2013 09:37, Jean-François
