Re: [TRNSYS-users] Problem with shading matrice

Jean-François,
It sounds as though you are getting a partial *.shm file? When you generate a shading matrix, a file with the same name as your *.b17 but with _shd.log appended at the end is created. You might look in that file to see if it reported an error or a warning.

I don't think that it is the same but about a month ago I ran into a problem creating a *.shm file and discovered the problem was that I had a "." in my path name. I had

c:\Trnsys17.1\MyProjects\Project1\Project1.b17

and it worked as soon as I changed the directory structure to:

c:\Trnsys17_1\MyProjects\Project1\Project1.b17

be aware that you might have better luck if you use a simple path and file name for your *.b17
Best,
 David

Hello,

I have a problem to generate a shading matrix on TRNBUILD from a Sketchup 3D model. Once the generation of the matrix on TRNBUILD launched, the program runs for several minutes before leaving TRNBUILD with no particular message. SHD file does not end correctly compare to a generated file with a success message. Is it possible that the number of elements in the shading model is limited? I have about 600 elements of shading in the IDF file (and the 3D model of course).

Thank you in advance for your answer!
