Re: [TRNSYS-users] problem with inputs in type 56

Ewen,
400 inputs into a building can certainly get confusing but it is not a problem; I have had more than double that a few times.

Unfortunately, without looking at your *.tpf and *.b17, it is hard to know the cause of the problem. In the Studio, with the link between the weather and your building open, you can click on the Type99 TAMB output and the Studio will highlight all of the variables to which it is connected in red. If that doesn't lead you to the problem, you may have an input name in TRNBuild that has been incorrectly applied to your shading ratio. Looking at the *.b17 file with a text editor and searching on input variable names might help. If you are still stuck, send the file to your distributor and they can have a look.

Best,
 David

Dear all,

I think I have a problem with the inputs of type 56, some of them may not be read correctly.

The first error is a shading ratio negative or bigger than 1 but I've checked all my shading ratios inputs and they are between 0 and 1. When I cut the link between type 99 and type 56 for the ambient temperature no error occurs. Without any link the standard input TAMB in Type 56 is equal to 0. I think that TAMB is used somewhere in my ".bui" file as a shading ratio but I don't understand how it is possible...

I also have a lot of inputs in my type 56 (around 400). Can it be the reason of the error ?

Regards,

Ewen
