Re: [TRNSYS-users] Detailed radiative model and view factor

Hello,

There is a preprocessor that the user has to implement to generate a view factor matrix for all surfaces in the detailed radiation mode for the zones. In the default radiation mode from a TRNSYS3D import, only the view factor to the sky calculation is implemented. If manually creating a zone/building the view factor to the sky has to be defined by the user. Please see the Vol. 5 TRNBuild documentation for more information on this.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Detailed radiative model and view factor

Dear TRNSYS users,

Knowing what is the view factor (for walls or windows), I wonder what is the link with the detailed  radiative model (using Trnsys3D).

Is the view factor value ignored and calculed for each timestep when the detailed model is activated ? Or is it used in combination ?
