Re: [TRNSYS-users] simulation of an air to soil exchanger

Aziz,
The first time I used Type460, I had a really hard time setting up the data file. I'll send you an example file in a separate email but what I did and what I would recommend is that you enter the data file that is shown in the documentation for Type460 and go carefully through the explanations of all the data elements in the file (also explained in the document). the structure of the data file is that you first set up all of the nodes and node sizes. Next, you describe the geometry of the earth/air energy exchanger using 1's and 0's. Lastly, you enter the physical data.

While the parameter file must be generated by hand, the control file is generated by the component when you run a simulation and will tell you about any errors that you made in setting up the parameter file.

I am not sure what Type61 is in this case. If it is the standard component that calls an external DLL then no, you do not need it. Simply place the Type460.dll file in your ..\Trnsys17\UserLib\ReleaseDLLs\ directory. (or  ..\Trnsys16\UserLib\ReleaseDLLs\).
Regards,
 David

Hello Trnsys users,

I want to simulate my model room with TYPE 460 (air to soil exchanger), but I have never used it, so I want if some one can share with me some examples related to this type  for  understanding. I dont know how can I linken Type 460 and Type 56 and how can I generate the LU parameter file and LU control file. It is necessary to have Type 61 or what und how? Can you help me please?

thanks in advance.

with regards,
