Re: [TRNSYS-users] Using LCC

Dear Hal,

I think Compaq Fortran is now merged with Intel Visual Fortran which can be used to create TRNSYS components (DLLs) and I believe it is one of safer options.

Has anyone used the LCC compiler to generate a component defined by a C function?

I spent the last three hours trying to get it working but I am afraid I will let it go.  It is beyond me.  I probably have to buy a “Microsoft Visual Studio.Net” although I have no idea what it is.   I am assuming it works – as promised in the TRNSYS Manual.

The other option, probably safer, would be to buy a Compaq Fortran compiler (the recommended compiler in the manual) and try to remember Fortran.

Any comment as to which way I should go would be most appreciated.
