Re: [TRNSYS-users] Connecting thermal storage and heat exchanger

Darryl,
An "invalid floating point operation" is a generic Fortran message is generated if the code did not catch certain kinds of errors before they occurred. For example, it might occur if there is a division by zero or if an array goes out of bounds. Without running your project through the Fortran debugger, it is not possible to determine the cause of the error. I would recommend that you send your project (*.tdf) and any supporting files to your distributor and see if they can find the bug.
Kind regards,
 David

Does anyone know or able to connect heat exchanger and thermal storage successfully?

I tried to connect them in my project and an error, stating “Invalid Floating Point Operation” message.

While I delete the heat exchanger icon, the simulation works as per normal.

The connection can be seen in the picture I attached.

Can anyone advise me the meaning of the problem and how should they connected?

Thank you for your attention.

Regards Darryl
