Re: [TRNSYS-users] High time step and time base

Dear Manuelle,

First, sorry for the last mail which was not complete.
You can have different TIME BASE and TIME STEP in your model. For exemple, you may have a 1h time step in STUDIO with a 4h time base in TRNBUILD. The time base in TRNBUILD allows you to simulate massive walls (see manual or archive TRNSYS mailing list if you want more explanation). The only rule to follow is that TRNSYS simulation time step cannot be greater than TRNBUILD time base.

Concerning the error you meet, I think that it comes from Type 16 "Time of last data read" and "time of next data read" input definition. These inputs may be connected to Type 9 "Time of last data read" and "time of next data read" outputs.

Best regards, Adrien

Hi users,

I want to have energy need simulation of a building with time step and time base 2-4 h. Is it possible? Because of type 54 can’t have time steps higher than 1h, how can I introduce outputs of type 54 in type 16? Reading them by type 9?

I tried to do it, but an error message said that I have to check time of last and next data read, but I had already modified in 2h time step them.

Thank you in advance

Manuel
