Dear trnsys users

Does anyone trys to simulate a solar dryer having a dryer bed is there any one inserts anew part that is a dryer bed in trnsys studio if so please I didn't get the equation that express the bed try to write your idea to me

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Convergence failure in the simulation

Dear all.

I am simulating a GSHP system, but receive warnings that some units do
not converge at particular time steps. The simulation stops after the
number of warnings reach a limit. I try to adjust the minimum
relaxation factor and tolerance of convergence in the control card,
but it seems to have no improvement. Please advise how I can fix it?
Thank you!

Hello TRNSYS experts!

Does anybody of you has any experience simulating a solar combi system using a combined tank (hot water tank within heating water tank)? Is there any type which model that kind of tank in tank system?

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards

Timo

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Errors in rebuilding TRNDll.dll

Dear all.

I have made some changes in the source code for Type108 (5 stage
thermostat). When I try to rebuild the TRNDll.dll by opening the
Cvf66.dsw workspace at \Trnsys16\Compilers\Cvf66\ sub-directory using
Compaq Visual Fortran, a lot of errors are found. I am using Cvf6.5.
Is it the cause for the errors? Please advise. Thank you!

Chun Kwong,
Convergnce problems are a result of one of two things usually.
Either there is not enough thermal capacitance in a given flow loop
(such as a piping network) or the time step is too big. If I recall,
your simulation was using a 1 hour time step. I would recommend
starting by reducing that time step to 0.125 hours to see if that
solves the convergence problems. The bore field and the building in
your system should be providing adequate thermal capacitance.
Kind regards,
David

Dear Chun Kwong,
The compiler version could well be the cause. I recall that there
were some bugs in the CVF 6.5 compiler that were fixed in release 6.6b.
Kind regards,
David
