Hi Franck,

 

TM2 is only a data format. It depends on what the person who created the file put into it. Usually, the data are averages over many years.

 

The TM2 files delivered with TRNSYS were created with METEONORM

(see http://software.cstb.fr/soft/present.asp?context=Meteonorm&langue=us )

and do not represent 'real years', but 'Typical Mean Years' (that's where the names TM2 and TMY come from).

 

The TMY2 users manual is available online http://rredc.nrel.gov/solar/pubs/tmy2/ .

Is it the year 1995 or an average over several years??
