Re: [TRNSYS-users] Heat exchanger
Dear Hans,
It would not be too much trouble for us to modify Type650 so that
it takes a flow configuration parameter like Type5 and calculates UA
internally but still bypasses hot side fluid around the actual heat
exchanger to maintain the cold side outlet temperature below a set point.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you are interested.
Cheers,
David

Dear TRNSYS users,
I am looking for a solution to
simulate a heat exchanger with fixed value of overall heat transfer
coefficient (TYPE 5) in TRNSYS 15. The model must be able to keep the
cold-side outlet (T1; see jpg-file) on a given temperature (setpoint) by
controlling the flow rate on hot side.
I suppose TYPE 650 from TESS component library has a similar
control function, but with constant effectivness.
Has somebody an idea?
Thanks in advance!
