Re: [TRNSYS-users] Intel Visual Fortran 9.0

Dear Soteris,

You can purchase the Standard edition, as it is the one that we are using for the development of TRNSYS.
Best regards,

Diego

Dear Sirs,

I am trying to purchase a suitable compiler for TRNSYS 16. It seems that the Compaq Visual Fortran compiler is discontinued by the end of 2005. Intel Visual Fortran Compiler 9.0, which I believe is the other option, comes in two versions, standard and professional. Can you tell me whether the standard version can work effectively for TRNSYS 16, as it is one fifth of the price of the professional version? Is there any other suitable compilers which I can use?

Thanks and Regards,

Soteris

*Subject:* [TRNSYS-users] invalid floating point operation

Dear all,

I am trying to create a new Trnsys type. With Compac Visual Fortran I made an external dll that is been placed in the UserLib. This did not gave any problems. However, when I now try to use the new model in the Simulation Studio, Tnsys gives an error saying "Invalid Floating Point Operation".

Can anyone explain me what this mean ? Is there an error in my created dll-file or in the Studio itself?

Thank you in advance for helping me out !
