Welcome to the TRNSYS Users Forum.
The forum is a place where people can interact and have discussions about different topics involving the use of the TRNSYS software package. Here you can post topics for discussion or questions on using TRNSYS and get advice from other users or TRNSYS experts. This forum is not intended for detailed technical support. Users should contact their distributor’s hotline for such assistance.
Some tips for success on using the forum:
- Follow the Forum Rules posted in Forum Administration.
- There are categories for different types of topics and questions. Post your topic or question into the proper category.
- Before posting a topic or question search the existing topics (and the TRNSYS Users listserv archive or Post archive) to see if a similar topic or question has already been answered.
- Use a descriptive topic name. Don’t use attention getting subjects, they don’t get attention and only annoy people.
- State the version of TRNSYS and which add-ons your are using.
- Include enough specific details for your topic of question to be answered. Just posting “Why am I getting an error?” without describing the specific error and what you are trying to do when you get the error will not receive a response that fixes your issue.
- Remember when people help you, they are doing you a favor. Be patient, help people out by posting good descriptions of what you need help with, and be polite even if a response does not solve your issue.
- Moderators may edit your post for clarity or move your topic to a more appropriate category.
Hii Transys Users,
I am simulation two shoe box single zoned model both with Complex fenestration systems. In the model when I simulate two BSDFs one for each shoe box, I am getting a strange error, and then I simulated both shoe box with same bsdf, the model runs and simulation is complete.
The error message is as follows : "56 Message : Internal error in solar radiation distribution (sumsitot) of 7.501 ( -19.442 %) at time= 4087.25, wave length band no. 3 (1:total solar, 2:visual solar, 3:non visual solar)"
Upon some online findings in this forum, this could be due to geometry and low incident radiation, then I solved both the issues of geometry and then with low incident radiation with the following equations
irr_threshold = 1
IT_H_0_0 = Input4*GT(Input4,irr_threshold)/3.6
IB_H_0_0 = Input5*GT(Input5,irr_threshold)/3.6
After all these checks still there is same error, so does anyone here faced same issue before or any idea what could have gone wrong ??
I hope my query is clear,
Thanks & regards
Rithesh Chajed
@rithesh-chajed I am afraid I do not have an answer for you but the situation you describe sounds like one that ought to be sent to your TRNSYS distributor so that they can look in the code and see why the situation with two BDSFs is failing where the situation with a single one is not. Out of curiosity, does the simulation run regardless of which of the two BDSFs you use as the single one?
If you aren't sure who your distributor is, please send me a direct message (d.bradley@tess-inc.com) and I can point you in the right direction.
kind regards,
David
