Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type56 Thermal Capacitance Inquiry

Hi Jeff,

So for reference, what is included in the thermal capacitance in Type56? Is it anything that's a solid object or anything that's within a room? Is it realistic to assume the furniture in a room is always the same temperature as the air?

Thanks

Hello,

Is it more accurate to model a large body of containerized water within a room by:
  1. Increasing the thermal capacitance in Type56 or,
  2. Using storage tanks like Type 158 with Top, Edge, Bottom Loss coefficients?
If I use the first method, the time lag is too much. The second method doesn't provide any time lag.

Thanks
