Re: [TRNSYS-users] - the world turned but the key features of TRNSYS remain :-)

Hello  Christian,

… the world turned but the main features of TRNSYS remain: source code is distributed as always and users are welcome to adapt it to their needs. :-)

Nowadays, the Type Studio, a Fortran-compiler with GUI specially adapted for TRNSYS, is available to make things easier. (https://www.trnsys.de/en/trnsys18)

It is always very nice to hear back from users of the early days

Kind regards,

Marion

Hello Sai,
my TRNSYS heart got stuck in the 70s and 80s. I do not know the current status of this fine software. I also don't know whether the source code is added automatically today.
At that time one would have worked into the source code and made appropriate changes. I found the following essay that may help you with this:

Efficiency Improvement of a Photovoltaic Thermal (PVT) System Using Nanofluids

Hello

My name is Sai. I request you to post my following question to the TRNSYS mailing list forum.

Dear all,

I want to simulate nanofluids in PV-Thermal panels using TRNSYS software. Unfortunately, it appears that the ?TYPE 50? module only use fluid specific heat as an input. I believe this specific heat input alone does not satisfy the conditions for nanofluid simulation.

In this case, how can I use nanofluids in the PVT simulation?

Has anyone ever worked on this particular application of nanofluid into the PVT system with TRNSYS software? If yes, How did you do this?

Regards

Sai
