Farhan,
The equation is used to SET the value of the parameter.
Area_Collector = 10.0
Then in the parameters tab of the collector, change the units of the collector area to STRING or VARIABLE NAME (depending on your version) and enter the name Area_Collector.
If you want to plot this variable, use the link tool and connect the equation to the plotter,
Jeff - TESS Sent from my iPhone Dear Jeff, i got your point and the same name i have specified in the performa tab but when i put the same name in equation, red color appear mean equation can't get the value from performa tab..... It won’t be a very exciting plot because parameters don’t change with time, but if you still want to do it the easiest way is with equations. Set an equation to the collector area, use that name when you specify the area in the parameters tab of the proforma, and then connect that equation to your plotter.
Jeff - TESS Sent from my iPhone I want to ask you that can i plot on graph the parameters of any component in TRNSYS. There is option to plot output variables but there is no option to plot parameters.Like i want to plot area of flat plate collector...
