Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS-users Digest, Vol 166, Issue 28

Jose,

It’s a simple fix.  Open the proforma for the Type536 model (.tmf extension) in the Simulation Studio, go to the parameters tab and change the order of the parameters by dragging and dropping the row you’d like to move.  In this case, move the logical unit parameter above the # of angles parameters.  Then save the proforma and choose “Refresh” from the menu.  You can also close the program and reopen it.  Drag out a new Type536 and you should be good to go!

Hi Jeff, how are you?

Thanks for the answer.

The old version of the 536 is as you mention, but the new one isn’t.

As I’ve mentioned I have uninstalled and install again TRNSYS with no luck, what can I try?

Could you send me the type?

Best,
José

Jose,

The proforma parameter order should match the order listed in the source code.  In my version that should be logical unit, then # transverse, then # longitudinal.

Jeff

Hi everyone,

I’ve tried to changed the fortran code to print some intermediate variables but with no luck.

The type536 stopped working altogether…

I’ve uninstalled trnsys and started over, however the installed type 536 still doesn’t work with a message that says "The utility subroutine DATA cannot read the specified input data file. Make sure that the file is ASSIGNed correctly and that the file has the correct format”.

I’ve then noticed that an older deck does work with the 536 and when looking into the parameters they are in a different order. The IAM portion of parameters changed placed within the list.

Could someone tell me what to do?

If I try connecting a fresh type 536 it doesn’t work, but if I open the old deck it does work… I’m baffled.

I’m attaching a screen capture of the old and the new parameter list.

I hope to hear from someone.

Best,
José M. Roca<New.png><Old.png>
