Re: [TRNSYS-users] equation solver problem

Federica,

The division by zero probably occurs before the values have been read (and outputted) by Type9. Try the following:

A/(MAX(0.0001,B)

Of course this will run into problems if the values of B can be either positive or negative)

kind regards,

 David

Hi TRNSYS users,

I'm using the equation solver (which can be found inside the Assembly panel) to evaluate the equation A/B, but when I run the simulation it gives me the message error 5 "The TRNSYS Program attempted to evaluate an equation that has a division by zero". I'm using type 9 to read the hourly values of B and there aren't values which are equal to zero.

How could I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance to anyone will try to help me,
Federica.
