Alice, Three possibilities are worth checking. First, put an online plotter on the tank, heat pump, and return water. Plot mass flow and temperature into and out of the two ports in the tank so that you're absolutely certain that there isn't a small flow going on when there should not be. Second, make sure that the capacity of the heating elements in the tank are all set to zero so that there isn't any auxiliary energy going into the tank. Third (and I doubt that this is contributing) make certain that the questions about how many nodes there are in the tank are all answered correctly. This question appears in different forms on more than one of the Type4 proforma's tabs. In some places you are asked how many nodes there are while in other places you are asked how many nodes there are in addition to the top and bottom nodes. kind regards, David
