Re: [TRNSYS-users] active layer wall type

Francesca,

I have used the active layer in Type56 to model both radiant floors that both heat and cool. I have not used it to model radiant walls or ceilings. I would recommend that you read the relevant sections in the 05-MultizoneBuilding manual. There are some restrictions placed on tube spacing and layer thickness in the active layer model that may be relevant to what you are trying to model.

kind regards,

 David

Hi,
I wonder if the wall type "active layer" can model a radiant wall and a radiant ceiling. I know that there is also the wall type " chilled ceiling", but I just used the prevoius type and it is easier for me.

Thank you.

Best regards
