Re: [TRNSYS-users] Storage tank type 4

Over the course of the year usually the energy balance works out fairly well. However, if there is a difference in the amount of energy stored in the tank at the beginning of the simulation and at the end of the simulation, you have to account for that in your energy balance. Type4 has an output for this value. Also, it may be that you are adding auxiliary energy to the tank. Type4 has a number of modes in which it can automatically keep itself at a set point temperatures.

kind regards,

Dear all,

I'm doing simulation for domestic water heating by using solar collector, hx, and storage tank(without auxiliary heater). Then after plotting storage tank energy balance for one year, I found heat in 874 MWh, heat out 811MWh, thermal losses 101MWh. Why the thermal losses is not qin-qout? Can anyone help me?

Thanks
