Over the course of the year usually the energy balance works out
fairly well. However, if there is a difference in the amount of
energy stored in the tank at the beginning of the simulation and
at the end of the simulation, you have to account for that in your
energy balance. Type4 has an output for this value. Also, it may
be that you are adding auxiliary energy to the tank. Type4 has a
number of modes in which it can automatically keep itself at a set
