Re: [TRNSYS-users] Add component

Oriol,

The *.tmf and *.bmp should be placed in a subfolder in the ..\Trnsys17\Studio\Proformas\ directory. The *.dll should be placed in ..\Trnsys17\UserLib\ReleaseDLLs\. The *.for (source code) is not relevant to running the component in the context of a simulation.  It is needed for reference and if you intend to make changes to the component (in which case you would also need a Fortran compiler).

As a side note, there are different coding conventions for different Trnsys versions. If, when you run a simulation containing the component, you get an error saying that the component was not found in a DLL or could not be loaded the problem may be that the component was written for a different version of TRNSYS than you are running.

kind regards,

 David

Hi all,

I have received a component in a compressed folder. In this folder there are four files: a .bmp , a .dll , a .for , and a .tmf
How should I proceed to be able to use this component in my projects?

Regards,

O.C.
