Re: [TRNSYS-users] TYPE 56, ADJ-WALL

In TRNBuild when you define an ADJACENT wall you'll note that the wall appears in two zones and that in the zone window there is a radio button with "front" and "back" options. If you open the wall manager you'll note that the materials are defined from "front" to "back" in the materials list. If you define a wall that has two layers (plaster and concrete) then note which material is listed first. This is the "front" of the wall. Go to the zone manager window and make sure that the appropriate zone contains the "front" of the wall. The wall thickness is not automatically doubled.

HI TRNSYS USERS,

In TRNBUILD if i have 2 adjacent rooms and i draw all the walls with plaster and concrete (plaster is the interior surface, total thickness of 20 cm),

the ADJacent-WALL that separate the 2 rooms will be the sum of each walls (so plaster-concrete-concrete-plaster, tickness=20+20=40 cm) or will be the drawn wall (plaster-concrete, thickness=20cm)?

THANK YOU
