Re: [TRNSYS-users] Matlab - Trnsys coupling

Dear Sir,

I am also facing the same problem, I would like to use the type155 to couple Trnsys 17 (type56) with Matlab.
I have installed Matlab R2013b.
In the> ..\TrnsysXX\Exe\ directory, I can't find Type155.dll that is compiled for the version of Matlab that I am using ( R2013b). Can you please send it to me also?

I have to delete all other types 155 dll and just keep the one that compiles my Matlab version? in the example file, I just found one example of coupling type 155 with a solar collector, there is no another example of coupling type 155 with type 56??

Thank you,
Regards

Jean-Christophe,

In the case of Matlab and Type155, the dll needs to be in the
..\TrnsysXX\Exe\ directory instead of in the
..\TrnsysXX\UserLib\ReleaseDLLs\ directory.

Also, the Type155.dll has to be the one compiled for the version of
Matlab that you are using (in your case R2013b). I will send you the
Type155.dll file for Matlab2013b in a second email. However, I caution
that this dll was never tested with Trnsys16, only with Trnsys17
(which was released in 2009). I cannot be sure whether it will work or
not. If it doesn't I am afraid that there isn't much else that I can
offer; support for Trnsys16 was discontinued a year after the release
of v17.

kind regards,

 David

Dear all,

I am sure you already discussed about this topic but I'm a new user of Trnsys and need your assistance.

I would like to use the type155 to couple Trnsys 16 with Matlab. I have already read that I need a compatible version of Matlab. So I installed Matlab R2013b 32bits. I also added to my Windows path the bin\win32 path folder of this matlab version and have deleted the other version of Matlab installed on my computer to avoid any problem.

When I try to launch my project, even the project-example provided by Trnsys, I have this error message, that you certainly know : "TRNSYS Message 105: A TYPE was called in the TRNSYS input file but was either not linked into trndll.dll or was not found in an external dll. A dummy subroutine was called in its place. Please link the TYPE or remove it from the input file. Reported information : Type 155 was not found. Please make sure that Type155.dll is in the "Userlib" folder"

The type55.dll is well in the Userlib folder.

I have read on a topic that I must have a 32bits version of Windows. I am currently running on Windows 10 64bits.

May you please confirm that I have to install a 32bits version of Windows or do you have any suggestions to couple properly Trnsys and Matlab.

Kindest regards,
