Re: [TRNSYS-users] TRNSYS-users Digest

Jignasha,

One of the parameters of Type74 asks you to specify how many of the collectors there are in series. To model collectors in parallel you can just increase the collector array area. Thus if you have modules that are each 1.5m2 and you have two in parallel the total array area would be 3.0 and the number in series would be 1. If you have two in parallel and two in series then the total array area would be 6.0m2 and the number in series would be 2. You also need to be careful about how you set the flow rate input. The flow rate is assumed to be equally divided by the modules in parallel. If you add more parallel area you should increase the flow rate to the array. If you add more area in series then you should not.

I would recommend that you use Type51 for the tower.

kind regards,

 David

Hi Jignasha,

I want to help you with this project. But you must provide me, and in future the email forum, with more details about a specific problem. We cannot do the whole project for you.

What specific problem are you having with this design? I recommend sending a new email to the group with a more well-defined question.

Kind regards,

Alastair McDowell

Dear All,

I am trying to design solar AC water cooling system using Compound parabolic Collector. I have problem to design it in series and parallel water flow system.

Any one can help me?
