Re: [TRNSYS-users] solar cell performance

Sandeep,
the SolarCellPerformance() subroutine contains some code that allows it to model both standard flat plate and concentrating PV collectors. CL and CH refer to values of the concentration ratio; the ratio of the aperture area to the absorber area. Ao is a coefficient that is used in the concentrating PV collector model. Values for certain panels are given in the \Trnsys17\Examples\Data Files\Type50-SolCel.dat file.

I might mention as a side note that unless you absolutely have to use a call to the
SolarCellPerformance() subroutine, I would recommend that you rely much more on the PV modeling methods in Types94 and 194. They are much more up to date modeling algorithms.

kind regards,
 David

CL - a low reference concentration ( what does concentration refer here?)

CH - high reference concentration ( what does concentration refer here? )

AOMIN - Value of Ao. at concentration of 0 ( what does Ao stands for ? )

DAODC - slope of Ao. VS concentration curve  ( what does Ao stands for here? )
