Re: [TRNSYS-users] Trnsys - Matlab connection

Ali El-Nashar,
If you are using the most recent TRNSYS release (17.02.0004) then you will find Type155 DLLs for other versions of Matlab located in:

..\Trnsys17\Exe\DLLs\*.zip

Extract the files from the *.zip file corresponding to your version of Matlab and place them into the ..\trnsys17\Exe directory. You can either move or replace the existing files.

If you do not have the most recent release, it would probably be best to contact your distributor and obtain it.

Please be aware that the link between TRNSYS and Matlab only works with the 32-bit version of Matlab and that you need to make sure that you and the SYSTEM user both have full control level access to the computer.
kind regards,
 David

Hello everybody,

I am trying to make a connection between  TRNSYS 17 and MATLAB (version R2014a).  When running the decks of the two “Calling Matlab” examples, I get this error message : unable to start the MATLAB engine. The version of MATLAB that I’m using apparently does not match Type155.dll installed in my computer.  I’m looking for a copy of an updated version of  Type155.dll that I can use.  Could someone help me ?

Best regards

Ali El-Nashar
