Re: [TRNSYS-users] Degradation of PV PANELS??

Daniel,
Panel degradation is not built into any of the PV models. If you have access to the TESS Utility library then you could use Type572 (equipment fouling with scheduled cleanings) to degrade the performance of your PVs over time. If you do not have access to that component then it would be appropriate to write an equation that computes a multiplier whose value decreases from 1 over time. The value would then be multiplied by the output of the PVs over the course of the simulation.
Kind regards,
 David

Hi,

I am using Type94 for my PV panels and was wondering whether there is a way to incorporate degradation of the panels? At the moment when I am running my household simulation for over a year, the values are just replicated. Thanks,

Daniel.
