Re: [TRNSYS-users] Including Thermal Capacitance in Boiler (Type751)

Dev,
Adding thermal capacitance to the model itself would involve changing the source code and asking for some additional parameters so that you would be able to solve the first order differential equation that describes the behavior.  You'd need a Fortran compiler in order to modify, recompile, and relink the code into a modified component. You would also need to change the proforma.

Another method that you could use to accomplish something like the same effect without modifying the source code would be to put a tank model (Type534 ideally) either directly upstream or directly downstream of the boiler. This would at least account for the thermal capacitance and standby losses of the liquid volume associated with the boiler.

Best,
 David

Dear All,

Could anyone tell me how to include a thermal capacitance into the boiler Type 751, please?
