Re: [TRNSYS-users] Type 567 for windows

Sascha,
I do not think that Type567 can be coupled with a window model (especially not with the Type56 window model since that model relies on an external data file generated by Window5 and is built into the building model. I think Type567 would have to be redeveloped as a combined PV/window model. Short of developing a model I think the best you would be able to do is to leave the thermal aspect of the window and the electrical aspect of the window separate. Model the thermal characteristics as best you can in Type56/Window5. I am also not certain whether the Type94 or Type194 PV models have ever been tested to see if they can be used to simulate the performance of PV that is integrated with a window that also transmits visual light.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear trnsys users,

I would like to attach a BIPV type 567 in front of a window. It#s well explained for the opaque building wall. But I`m not sure how to do it if parts of this wall are windows. Has someone already made it like this?

Thanks in advance

Sascha
