Re: [TRNSYS-users] How to make a TRNBui for an apartment in storey 20th of a 30-storey building

Huy Tung,
The typical method is to simply draw the one floor of the building that you care about. You then set the ceiling of the zone to be of Type: ceiling, Constuction: BND_CEILING,  Outside Boundary Condition: Other Side Coefficients, and Outside Boundary Object: BOUNDARY = IDENTICAL. Do the same for the floor but in this case the type should be "floor" and the construction should be "BND_FLOOR"

What this does is to force the conditions above and below your story to be identical to those in your story. If the floors above and below have significantly different conditioning requirements than does the floor you are modeling you can choose a different boundary condition.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear all,

I need to simulate an apartment in storey 20th of a 30-storey building. I used Google Sketch up and created my apartment. However, I'm confused about other adjacent apartments.

1. Do I need to make adjacent zones for my apartment?
2. My apartment is at 57 meters high. It has 19 storeys below and 10 storey above. Therefore, how can I emulate my apartment.

Thank you so much for your kindness.

Sincerely,
Nguyen, Huy Tung
