Re: [TRNSYS-users] The center node operative temperature of multi air nodes

Dear Remon,

The operative temperature is calculated depending on whether you’ve defined a comfort position or simply used the operative temperature of the airnode.

The simple calculation is based on an area weigted mean radiant temperature calculation (in this case the mean radiant temperature is the same for every airnode in your zone) and parameter 3 weighting factor for operative temperature. The default value is 0.5 i.e. the mean radiant temperature and the temperature of the airnode is Weighted 50:50 in the operative temperature calculation.

The detailed calculation is based on the defined position and is calculated considering the viewfactors. This only works when you set up your model with TRNSYS 3D (geometrical information is needed).

You might check the manual chapter 5.4.6 for further information.

Best

Betreff: [TRNSYS-users] The center node operative temperature of multi air nodes

Hallo every one,

I would to realize a temperature stratification model of monozone building with 12 pcs of air nodes. I would like to know how TRNSYS 17 (type 56) calculates the operative temperature of the center node (not in contact with roof and floor). Is the radiation part of surfaces (i.e floor, roof) from others air nodes  has been included in operative temperature calculation of this middle node ?

I am very happy if some one would like to share the information

Thank you
