Subject: Re: [TRNSYS-users] Workspace for TESS libraries
Chun Kwong,
We made the decision with the release of the v17 libraries not to distribute those workspaces. It was hard to manage their settings and new versions of the compiler continue to be released and are challenging to manage. I would recommend that you simply use the MyType project that is part of the IVF11x solution. You can add as many Types to that MyType project as you want.
Kind regards,
David

Hello.
I have previously installed TRNSYS 17 together with the TESS libraries. However, unlike TRNSYS 16, I can't find where the workspace for the TESS libraries is located. Does anyone know? If so, please advise. Thank you!

Subject: Re: [TRNSYS-users] doors in sketchup /TRNbuild
Mohamed,
I would recommend that you treat glass doors as windows in Trnsys3D (ie draw them in Trnsys3D but set them to a different type of glass construction then your windows so that it will be easier to modify them later in TRNBuild). For opaque doors, the easiest thing to do is to simply add them in TRNBuild afterwards.
Kind regards,
David

HiWhen I import my 3D model (.idf) from Sketchup to TRNbuild, Trnbuild does not know doors and glass doors ( But TRNbuild knows windows).
what must I make to resolve this situation?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards.

Subject: Re: [TRNSYS-users] CHILLER PERFORMANCE DATADear Laho
There are usually data files in the component file (tmf) which can be edited for each instance the chiller is used. Please see the picture below. There is example files available for the chiller usually and you can click edit. Please see the component mathematical reference for the type you require for the details.
What chiller kind (compression, absorption) are you modelling? What trnsys type are you wanting to use?
These are important as the Fortran code underlying the type is important to understand because it times, the default method is not ideally suited and needed modification. We’ve edited the component to suit our needs and only use two data files and shown in the image before for a type 677 chiller from the TESS extension.
