Re: [TRNSYS-users] Gas Boiler

Becky,
The simplest way to model a boiler is to use Type6 with an efficiency of about 0.8. There is a somewhat preferable boiler model in the TESS HVAC library. Its primary difference over Type6 is that it allows for an efficiency that is dependent on the load on the boiler.
Kind regards,
 David

Hello,

Has anyone ever modelled a generic gas boiler in TRNSYS? If so do you have a block I could use for a simple comparative model I am trying to set up… if anyone has any systems they have done I would also be interested to know how you undertook it… I am new to this so am trying to work out the best way of creating models.

Thank you,

Becky
