Re: [TRNSYS-users] abnormalty in plots for zone cooling

Talib
Without looking at your project file, it isn't really possible to know what the problem might be. If the tank temperature is going negative, I would imagine that there is a cold stream of water coming into the tank (perhaps coming back from the chiller under low-load situations?) To investigate, use an online plotter and plot the temperature and flow rate into and out of all the ports in the tank; see if it is obvious which one is the cause of the problem. As for the collector, again, plot the flow rate and temperature into and out of each device in the flow loop. Look also at your controls; it may be that the collector never gets hot enough for the collector pump to turn on or it may be that the system is operating only on its auxiliary heat and that the collector just isn't contributing much to the overall performance.
Kind regards,
 David

Dear users
In my model of an absorption cooling for a multizone office, I have some issues which i would like to get clearification from users.
I considered the system to be working by checking the zone temperatures to see if they have dropped in temperature, is this correct? (temperatures dropped).
Secondly, i tried to vary the collector area to see the effect on the performance, but it stays thesame even with a collector area of zero, why is this so?
Thirdly, i see negative values in the hot storage tank temperature.
Positive responses will be appreciated.
Thanks.
