Eva, Adrien is quite correct that you need to run the simulation once with shading activated and once without it in order to be sure of the impact. Since the procedure for activating shading is slightly, complex, I thought it might be helpful to add to his reply. In TRNBuild, select "Generate Shading / Insolation Matrix" from the "Generate" menu. Once TRNBuild has completed the process, you should find a file with the name of the *.b17 but with the extension *.shm located in the same folder as the *.b17. As long as the *.shm file is in that directory, Type56 will account for shading. If you rename or move the *.shm file, shading will be deactivated.
