Re: [TRNSYS-users] Air based earth duct

Benoît,

I have used Transsolar's Type460 a number of times. I have the feeling that it over predicts cooling a bit but it has plenty of parameters that you can play with to tune the model. I have only run into "puits canadien" in a vertical orientation and I have only used Type460 for horizontal, parallel earth ducts . You might also contact a company called Rehau; they manufacture and market a high thermal conductivity plastic pipe that is often used in ground heat exchangers (both air and water) and they have a performance prediction tool that they use internally. Their performance estimates might be a help in tuning Type460.
Kind regards,
 David

Does any one have a good idea ?
