Re: [TRNSYS-users] Error in Macro

Dear Dr. Mohammad Abdunnabi,

First of all, placing 30 of the same components in a simulation is not really how TRNSYS would like to simulate. I assume you're using the Type538 collector model, no? This collector has the option to specify the number of collectors in series, parameter #2. As the 'More' button says, "The solar collector model can simulate an array of identical solar collectors hooked up in series.  This parameter is used to specify how many collectors are hooked up in a series arrangement (outlet of first collector = inlet of second collector etc.) for each parallel flow loop."

Range check errors with collectors usually imply that the outlet temperture is diverging (too fast or too slow a flow rate). In the Control Cards, you can turn the Debug option to 'True' and run it, and it should elaborate on the error.

Best regards,

Matt Duffy

Subject: [TRNSYS-users] Error in Macro

Dear Trnsys Users

I've faced problem when I used macro. The macro is consists of 30 evacuated tube collector with flow diverters and mixers. I've used three maco in my system to be simulated with the other components such ! as sotrage tanks auxilary heaters etc. When I run the program the foll owing error appears:
Range check error

Bear in mind that each micro works fine (when I delete the other macros). Can any body help

Many thanks in advace
